LoZ2_Boots.jpg
LoZ2_Boots.jpgZelda 2 AoL Boots717 viewsThe winged Boots in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, waiting in its chamber in the Maze Palace.

With these boots, Link can levitate over the waters to reach the Palace on the Sea.

I used the manual scan as reference for the boots, and VGMaps.com (and some artistic license) for reference on the palace setting.

LoZ1--Hearts.jpg
LoZ1--Hearts.jpgLoZ1 Hearts509 viewsThe hearts of Zelda 1. Take a wild guess!

The manual art was my reference when drawing this.

LoZ2--Myu.jpg
LoZ2--Myu.jpgZelda 2 AoL Myu638 viewsThe spiny slime from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Watch your step.

I used an official art as a reference.

LoZ2_Cross.jpg
LoZ2_Cross.jpgZelda 2 AoL Cross625 viewsThe magical cross in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, lying in Three Eye Rock Palace.

Obtaining this makes the final areas MUCH easier, as it makes those invisible Moas visible!

Anyway, I used the manual scan for reference of the cross, and VGMaps.com (with some artistic licence) for the palace backdrop.

LoZ1--Gleeok.jpg
LoZ1--Gleeok.jpgLoZ1 Gleeok826 viewsThe dragon, Gleeok. In this case, it is (or WAS) three headed. And two of the heads (including the severed one flying about) is missing their mustaches--maybe Link gave them a shave when going for the heads.

Anyway, I used the official art as my reference.

LoZ2TektiteByDBoy.jpg
LoZ2TektiteByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Tektite626 viewsThe eyeball spider Tektite returns in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. And it's gotten more resilient (not to mention learned a few new tricks).

I had to use a sprite as a reference, so it doesn't look as good as it could've been.

LoZ2--Bubbles.jpg
LoZ2--Bubbles.jpgZelda 2 AoL Bubble Bunch1524 views*sings* That's the way they became the Bubble Bunch!
(sorry, I couldn't resist the Brady Bunch inside joke)

Anyway, here is the Great Bubble and some lesser bubbles from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. I used sprites as references for the characters, and their location is Great Palace (the final palace). I used VGMaps as a reference there.

A mix of in game sprite, official art, and some artistic license were used here. Just be careful in this fight.

6--Barba_of_Three-Eye_Rock_Palace.pngZelda 2 AoL: Three-Eye Rock Palace Guardian Barba725 viewsThe Three-Eye Rock Palace's Guardian, Barba... perhaps one of the more difficult bosses of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

A mix of in-game sprite and official art were the references here.

7--Thunderbird_of_Great_Palace.pngZelda 2 AoL: Great Palace Guardian Thunderbird721 viewsGreat Palace's guardian in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link... the Thunderbird.

I used the sprite as a reference.

Even if Link passes Thunderbird, he still has the final challenge...

8--Shadow_Link.pngZelda 2 AoL: Final Challenge Dark Link685 viewsApt title for this--it's the final boss of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, Dark Link (in this incarnation as Link's Shadow).

I used the screen shot as a reference, and added some glowing eyes to make it more evil.

1--Horsehead_of_Parapa_Palace.pngZelda 2 AoL: Parapa Palace Guardian Horsehead808 viewsHorsehead, the guardian of Parapa Palace, and the first boss of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Jump and aim for the head, Link!

I used his in-game sprite as a reference, with some artistic license and a little bit of his official art.

2--Helmethead_of_Midoro_Palace.pngZelda 2 AoL: Midoro Palace Guardian Helmethead693 viewsHelmethead, the boss of the Midoro Swamp Palace. And he has not just that current head on his shoulders...

I mixed his official art and ingame sprite, with some artistic license, as reference for him.

3--Boss_Ironknuckle_of_Island_Palace.pngZelda 2 AoL: Island Palace Guardian Boss Ironknuckle696 viewsThe Boss Ironknuckle, aka Rebonack, who protects the Island Palace.

Get ready for one hell of a jousting match!

Official art was the reference for his design. But the shade of blue was from his in-game sprite.

4--Carock_of_Maze_Palace.pngZelda 2 AoL: Maze Palace Guardian Carock981 viewsThe wizard boss of the Maze Palace in Adventure of Link... Carock! Get the Reflect Spell ready!

His design is based off of the official art... but the color is from his in-game sprite.
